Job Title Reliability Tech D - Night Shift Position Overview Shaw is hiring a Reliability Technician D. This position is responsible for maintaining PIT equipment reliability, supporting facility maintenance activities, and performing routine preventive maintenance to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations. This role supports manufacturing objectives through quality workmanship, adherence to safety standards, and a customer-service-oriented approach.
Shift: Sunday-Thursday 11pm-7am
Key Responsibilities · Maintain and repair PIT equipment including lift trucks, golf carts, electric pallet jacks, articulating lifts, scissor lifts, floor scrubbers, and related equipment. · Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on PIT equipment and document completed work. · Monitor and record operational data, including equipment hour meter readings and utility meter readings. · Maintain PIT battery charging stations, including housekeeping, watering, cleaning, inspections, and reporting deficiencies. · Inspect battery station hoists, gantries, lifting beams, and related equipment. · Perform general facility maintenance tasks involving buildings, grounds, offices, and common areas. · Conduct routine safety and environmental inspections and support compliance initiatives. · Assist higher-level maintenance technicians with equipment repairs, troubleshooting, lubrication, painting, job-site preparation, tool and parts handling, confined space watch, and hot work watch activities. · Operate PIT equipment safely in support of maintenance activities. · Report equipment issues, safety concerns, and improvement opportunities to supervision in a timely manner. · Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO, PPE, confined space, fall protection, hoisting and rigging, and hot work requirements. · Comply with all company policies, work standards, and maintenance documentation requirements. · Participate in cross-training and continuous learning to expand maintenance knowledge and support facility operations.
Qualifications · High school diploma or equivalent required. · Two years of post-secondary education in an industrial maintenance related field, or equivalent experience, preferred. · One to two years of industrial maintenance, mechanical, or related technical experience preferred. · Basic understanding of equipment maintenance, power transmission components, mechanical systems, tools, measurements, and troubleshooting techniques. · Ability to use computers for work order documentation, parts requisitioning, and data collection. · Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements · Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, reach, and work for extended periods. · Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently. · Must be available to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-ins as required.
