Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for an Interim Senior Legal Coordinator (100% Remote, National) with a focus on corporate board support, legal operations, and law department coordination.
Overview: Our client is seeking an Interim Senior Legal Coordinator (100% Remote, National) full-time (40 hours) for 6+ months. Temp-to-Perm.
Company: Publicly traded $1B technology company
Experience:
• 5–7+ years of experience in corporate board governance support (Diligent board portal), legal operations, corporate paralegal, or executive support roles • Experience managing budgets, billing, or financial processes. • Strong organizational, project management, and stakeholder coordination skills • Experience supporting senior executives.
Location: 100% Remote, National Search (must work EST hours)
Responsibilities Include:
Executive & Board Support (CLO Enablement)
• Provide high-level support to the Chief Legal Officer and Legal leadership team:
• Coordinate Board of Directors and Annual Shareholder meeting materials. • Manage Board surveys, D&O questionnaires, and related requirements. • Administer Board tools (e.g., Diligent portal) • Support Director onboarding and act as liaison between Legal and Board stakeholders.
• Coordinate executive logistics, including: • Meeting preparation and materials • Tracking action items and follow-ups
Corporate Governance & Compliance Support
• Coordinate entity and subsidiary management activities:
• Track and support compliance filings with third-party providers. • Maintain organizational structure documentation.
Law Department Coordination & Administrative Support
• Coordinate key Law Department operational activities:
• Department meetings, offsites, and training sessions • Intranet and knowledge-sharing platforms
• Manage administrative processes, including: • Expense processing for the Chief Legal Officer and department • E-signature workflows and document coordination
• Support internal communications and cross-team coordination.
Legal Operations & Financial Management (Core Ownership)
• Own and manage the Law Department’s financial operations, including:
• Budgeting, forecasting, and accruals • Monitoring actuals vs. forecast
• Oversee the legal billing process, including: • Administration of eBilling tools (e.g., Legal Tracker) • Matter creation and tracking • Partnership with Purchasing and Accounts Payable on invoices and payments
Legal Operations Programs, Vendors & Technology
• Manage and coordinate legal operations initiatives, including:
• Vendor relationships (law firms, legal tech providers, ALSPs) • Legal technology lifecycle (selection, implementation, training, adoption)
• Serve as system owner/administrator for key Law Department tools (e.g., spend management, Diligent board portal) • Partner with IT to support system enhancements, upgrades, and integrations • Drive operational improvements by assessing: • Policies, procedures, and workflows • Efficiency and cost reduction opportunities
Qualifications Include:
• Bachelor’s degree
$50-$60 per hour
