Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for an Interim Compliance Manager.
Overview: Our client seeks a skilled compliance manager to ensure compliance with US export compliance programs as applied to technology companies.
Company: Our client is a well-respected, global data security company headquartered in Massachusetts.
Experience: Eight or more years’ experience acquired in an in-house environment advising on export regulations and controls.
Location: Fully remote.
Responsibilities Include:
• Provide advice on trade questions and contract questions to ensure Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) compliance and avoidance of sanctions. • Advise on Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) regulations to ensure compliance. • Ensure that the client’s environment, social, and governance (ESG) program compliance and self-reporting run smoothly.
Qualifications Include:
• Excellent professional and academic credentials including a baccalaureate degree from a well-respected four-year institution. • Eight or more years’ experience advising clients in the technology space on export compliance. • Experience on establishing and integrating and ESG program. • Ability to provide practical regulatory advice based on prior experience dealing with regulators. • Fastidious attention to detail in oral and written communication.
