Position Overview The primary responsibility of the Manager – Shared Services is to assist the Executive Director – Accounting Shared Services in managing the Shared Services accounting team, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and leading the month-end close process All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Perform various accounting functions including analysis of balance sheet accounts and operating department income statements, preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements. • Lead and mentor accounting staff in accordance with company standards and guidelines. • Prepare and review general ledger journal entries to account for transactions posted to the general ledger. • Reconcile and review balance sheet accounts. • Review profit and loss statements with assigned operating departments. • Prepare and review reports that summarize company business activities and financial positions in areas of income, expenses, and earnings, based on past, present, and expected operations. • Interpret the meaning of accounting records, reports and accounting data to show the effects of proposed plans on Investments, income, cash position and overall financial condition. • Assist with Financial System administrative tasks.

• Draft memos to Shared Services management on accounting related issues. • Prepare and review general ledger journal entries to account for transactions posted to the general ledger. • Follow internal accounting policies and GAAP. • Administer the company chart of accounts and financial reports. • Safety is an essential function of this job. • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job. • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
• 21 years of age. • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States. • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required. • 5-8 years of previous accounting experience, with 2+ years of managerial or supervisory experience required. • Previous experience in the gaming and hospitality industry or public accounting preferred. • Certified Public Accountant preferred. • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience. • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

• Lift or carry 20 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned. • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation. • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts. • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts. • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel. • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment. • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
