McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, Department of Neurology, is seeking a full-time Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Neurologist to join an outpatient practice at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital. This position is designed for an experienced, highly efficient clinician who is comfortable managing a high-volume ambulatory practice while delivering excellent patient care. The role is primarily outpatient. No inpatient coverage is required. Limited inpatient responsibilities are available if desired, but would make up a small portion of the role. Position Key Accountabilities: · Provide comprehensive outpatient neurology care for adult patients with a broad range of neurologic conditions, including headache, epilepsy, movement disorders, peripheral neuropathy, multiple sclerosis, and cognitive disorders. · Manage a high-volume clinic with a focus on efficiency, access, and continuity of care. · Perform office-based procedures, including EMG and botulinum toxin injections, as appropriate. · Coordinate care with primary care physicians and other specialists to support optimal patient outcomes. · Ensure accurate and timely documentation and appropriate coding. · Participate in a shared outpatient call pool for non-urgent clinical issues, with coverage limited to several weeks per year. · Maintain clinical productivity consistent with a high-performing outpatient neurology practice. · Participate in the education of medical students, neurology residents, and, when applicable, neurophysiology fellows. · Contribute to departmental clinical operations and quality efforts as needed. · Attendance at weekly Neurology Grand Rounds and monthly Neurology faculty meetings (virtual option is provided) Compensation and Productivity: Compensation includes a competitive salary and an RVU-based model aligned with high clinical productivity, typically ranging from 9,000 to 10,000 RVUs annually, and commensurate with experience.
Qualifications: · MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school · Completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology residency · Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology · Eligible for holding an unrestricted Texas Medical license · Eligible for hospital privileges at affiliated facilities
