Job Description In collaboration with HR professionals, Office of Counsel, and others, conducts workplace investigations with an emphasis on HR matters, including employment policy violations, retaliation, harassment, and discrimination allegations. Key Responsibilities
• Conducts timely, thorough investigations of employee concerns (including Title VII, Title IX, and retaliation), and reviews escalated HR matters to ensure accurate documentation, risk mitigation, and appropriate resolution and follow-up. • Explains policies and procedures and presents findings in a formal summary format. • Ensures compliant, accurate, and thorough documentation for employee relations matters, applying organizational policies, principles, and practices consistently and fairly. • Promotes direct communication and positive rapport between UAB Enterprise employees and supervisors, clarifying policies and procedures as necessary. • Provides support and guidance to others regarding the development of investigative plans, effective interview techniques, note taking, documentation, recommendations and closure. • Maintains appropriate employee relations files and records, case management and tracking. Analyzes and tracks trends and proactively reports to Manager/Director. Qualifications Position requires Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field and five (5) years of related experience with Human Resources investigations and formal documentation. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Minimum qualifications include demonstrated experience in Human Resources, with a focus on employee relations or internal workplace investigations required. Licenses / Certifications / Registrations Preferred PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification The ideal candidate will have:
