Job Description To evaluate clinical education and training needs and plan, develop, deliver, and coordinate education programs for a clinical department/division including new employee orientation and continuing education for all staff. To provide support to the learner, community and ongoing initiatives. To collaborate with management to review and revise relevant standards as appropriate. 1. Develops new staff orientation and training programs for neurophysiology technologists including, but not limited to, lectures to augment on-line courses, presentations and hands on learning experiences. Records review sessions. Evaluates competency outcomes during probationary period. Maintains educational/training records. Collaborates with department leadership to ensure orientation is complete. 2. Develops and coordinates education plans related to initial and ongoing competency validation. 3. Collects data to identify/validate gaps in professional practice to ensure education is aligned with specific knowledge, skill or practice deficit and opportunity. 4. Provides ongoing evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of the educational activities to ensure that they are evidenced-based as well as maintain and enhance professional development that promotes the delivery of cost effective, high quality health care. 5. Serves as a consultant regarding hospital initiatives, quality improvement projects and other areas as deemed necessary. 6. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field and ABRET registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) required. Five (5) years of experience in neurodiagnostics required. CoA-NDT CAAHEP-accredited bachelor’s program or advanced degree preferred. 2+ neurodiagnostic technology credentials preferred (R. EEG T., CLTM, NA-CLTM, CMEG, CNIM) Licenses / Certifications / Registrations Currently credentialed as an Electroencephalographic (EEG) Technologist (R. EEG T.) by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) required.
