Role OverviewThe FP&A Manager will play a critical role in driving financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making for Europe region, including 19 countries. This role partners closely with Europe’s senior management to provide insight into financial performance, profitability, budgeting, and forecasting in a professional services environment.
The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience in professional services (Big4) or legal firms, and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & Analysis
Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for the Europe regionDevelop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives, pricing decisions, and growth plansAnalyze revenue, cost drivers, utilization, realization, and profitability by country, practice groupPrepare presentations for the Europe top management, Europe Board etc. Performance Reporting
Prepare monthly management reports and variance analysisProvide clear commentary on financial performance versus budget and forecastMonitor KPIs relevant to legal operations, including billable hours, leverage, margins, and collectionsProcess Improvement & Systems
Improve FP&A processes, tools, and reporting efficiencySupport enhancements to financial systems and reporting toolsEnsure data integrity and consistency across financial reportsAd Hoc & Strategic Analysis
Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses related to market conditions and cost structuresSupport office expansion, or strategic investment evaluations as neededRequirements
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (ACCA preferred)5–8+ years of FP&A or financial analysis experience, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment, Big4 experience will be an advantageStrong understanding of legal industry metrics (billable hours, utilization, realization, leverage) preferredAdvanced financial modeling and analytical skillsHigh proficiency in Excel is a key; experience with financial planning systems and BI tools is a plusStrong communication skills with the ability to present financial insights to non-finance stakeholdersKey Competencies
