A premier provider of ABA therapy services dedicated to exceptional care and optimal client outcomes is currently seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to join their team.

As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting revenue cycle operations by managing the end-to-end billing process. You’ll ensure accurate billing records, track claims performance, resolve denials, post payments, and serve as a point of contact for internal teams and insurance payers.

ResponsibilitiesClaims Generation: Prepare, review, and submit claims to insurance carriers and third-party payers in compliance with regulatory and payer-specific requirements.Denial Follow-Up: Investigate, appeal, and resolve denied or rejected claims to ensure timely reimbursement and minimize revenue loss.Payment Posting: Accurately record and reconcile payments, adjustments, and remittances in the billing system to keep accounts up to date.Trend Communication: Identify recurring issues, payer trends, and denial patterns; prepare reports and communicate findings to management for process improvement.Collaboration: Partner with clinical staff, patient services, authorization specialists, and finance teams to resolve billing discrepancies and improve workflow efficiency.Compliance: Maintain knowledge of HIPAA regulations, payer guidelines, and industry standards to ensure compliant billing practices.Support and maintain accuracy of data in the authorization spreadsheet.Communicate with the clinical team and authorization specialists to ensure proper insurance and authorization coverage for clients.Accurately audit CentralReach data within prescribed weekly timelines.Update CentralReach to reconcile accounts with correct insurance, client, and payment information.Contact insurance companies to resolve claims and achieve resolution of recurring or trending issues.Generate and update spreadsheets for workflow tracking and reporting.Support the RCM team in developing and maintaining efficient billing processes.Maintain compliant processes across all areas of billing.Complete additional duties as assigned by management.Requirements
