About the Role
We’re seeking an AI Search Optimization (LLM SEO) Specialist to help our client rank and appear prominently in Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and similar AI-driven discovery tools—while continuing to strengthen our organic search performance on Google.
This role sits at the intersection of SEO, content strategy, and AI search behavior. You’ll be responsible for shaping how our client is understood, referenced, and recommended by both search engines and AI models.
Key Responsibilities
AI / LLM Optimization
Optimize brand presence for AI-generated answers across LLMs (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, etc.)Develop strategies to influence how LLMs reference, summarize, and recommend our clientStructure content to align with how AI models ingest and retrieve information (entities, FAQs, citations, topical authority)Identify opportunities to get cited, summarized, or recommended in AI outputsMonitor and test prompts to evaluate brand visibility and positioning in AI toolsSEO & Content Strategy
Own on-page SEO strategy (content structure, internal linking, metadata, schema)Build and maintain topical authority around cookies, gifting, food brands, and DTC dessertsCollaborate with content creators to develop SEO- and AI-friendly contentConduct keyword research with a focus on both traditional SERPs and conversational searchImprove organic rankings, traffic quality, and discovery across Google and AI platformsTechnical & Performance Optimization
Implement structured data (FAQ, Product, Article schema)Ensure site architecture supports crawlability and entity understandingTrack performance across SEO and AI visibility metricsStay ahead of evolving AI search trends and algorithm changes
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves
Proven experience in SEO for e-commerce or DTC brandsClear understanding of how LLMs retrieve and surface informationExperience optimizing content for AI-driven search and conversational queriesStrong grasp of on-page SEO, content strategy, and search intentAnalytical mindset with the ability to test, measure, and iterateNice-to-Haves
