Manual Machinist – 1st Shift | Precision Machine Shop Apply Today – Immediate Interviews Available We are hiring an experienced Manual Machinist to support the production and maintenance of processing equipment. This role focuses on precision machining, fabrication, and quality inspection in a clean, team-oriented shop environment. Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual machining of brackets, fixtures, and custom components • Operate manual equipment including mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, saws, and presses • Set up machinery by selecting tooling, adjusting feeds/speeds, and securing workpieces • Follow lockout/tagout procedures for safe machine operation • Fabricate parts from blueprints, sketches, and drawings • Create basic sketches to support part design and communication • Read and interpret blueprints, tolerances, and machining specifications • Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators • Perform routine machine checks and basic maintenance • Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust setups as needed • Maintain a clean and organized workspace • Collaborate with machinists, welders, fabricators, and mechanics Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of FRANKFORT, IL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
