Your Role As a per diem Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) on our acute care team, you’ll play a key role in helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life. This role offers flexible, primarily weekend and holiday coverage—ideal for maintaining work-life balance. You’ll work closely with an Occupational Therapist to support patient recovery through hands-on care, collaboration, and compassionate communication. What You’ll Do

• Partner with Occupational Therapists to assess patients’ abilities in daily living, work, and recreational activities • Help identify physical, cognitive, and psychosocial factors affecting patient function • Deliver targeted, age-appropriate therapy interventions to support recovery and independence • Educate patients and families using clear, engaging communication methods • Collaborate with the care team to adjust treatment plans and ensure the best outcomes • Track patient progress and document care to maintain continuity and meet professional standards What You’ll Gain At Hartford HealthCare, your growth matters just as much as your patients’ progress. Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program, Associate degree. · Connecticut registration required · Strong communication skills · Acute care experience preferred We take great care of careers.
