Job SummaryThis position is located at Child and Youth Services SKIES Unlimited, Fort Bliss, TX. Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee: *CYS Regular and FLEX employees (working a minimum of 15 hours) First Child: 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Second and Subsequent Child: 25% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.

QualificationsResumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1. Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate. 2. Be able to communicate in English (both written and verbal). 3. Be 18 years of age at the time of appointment. 4. Possess and maintain the physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, walk, bend, stoop and stand on a routine basis. Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors. 5. Possess and maintain health and freedom from communicable disease. 6. Demonstrated skill/evidence of competence in Gymnastics. Preferred are those candidates who possess a Professional Certificates/Credentials; or Associates Degree or higher with 15 semester hours of college credit in the area of instruction.

Major DutiesServes as an Instructor in the CYS Instructional Program. Provides individual and/or group lessons to participants. Offers less structured activities for parents/children.Coordinates work schedules with Instructional Program Specialist. Develops individual and group lesson plans. Tracks participant's accomplishments, long and short term goals, effort, and evaluations as appropriate for age and type of instruction.Maintains control of and accounts for whereabouts and safety of program participants. Observes and evaluates participants developmental level and records progress.Continually reviews instructional sessions and plans for appropriateness. Observes program participants for signs that may indicate illness, abuse or neglect and reports as directed.Plans and conducts special events for parents designed to promote the instructional program while encouraging parents to become involved.
