The RN Capacity Strategist optimizes resource utilization and ensures high-quality patient care by collaborating with nurse managers and schedulers to forecast demand and adjust staffing levels. They monitor performance metrics, implement improvements, and ensure compliance with regulations, contributing to a well-staffed, efficient healthcare environment.
Essential Job Function • Provides supervision for the Central Capacity Center (CCC) and serves as the administrative representative. • Serves as a systemwide liaison for the Administrator on-call (AOD) to contact as needed. • Acts independently to provide crisis management, ensuring adherence to systemwide disaster plans and policies. • Interprets policy and makes timely decisions that directly affect patient care. • Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to resolve clinical and operational issues. • Teams with Hospitalists in a co-management model to facilitate communication and patient throughput. • Coordinates and conducts multiple systemwide daily debriefings, including weekends and holidays. • Listens and acts to resolve employee concerns and complaints, escalating issues to appropriate SW leaders as needed. • Reviews, investigates, and responds to safety/behavioral concerns. • Serves as a resource for policies, standards, and performance issues. • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education • Required: Bachelor's degree in Nursing
Experience • Required: 7+ years of experience
Licensure/Certification/Listing • Required: RN licensure to practice in the state of NC
