About this role
As a Environmental Test Engineer, you will join our team in Birmingham to support our activities within the Aerospace sector.
You will be responsible for delivering environmental testing activities on aerospace products to validate performance under extreme conditions. The role covers thermal, vibration, and electric motor testing to assess temperature behaviour and operational performance throughout the test lifecycle.

Plan and execute environmental test activities for aerospace productsPerform thermal and vibration testing in line with programme requirementsConduct electric motor testing to assess temperature performance and operational limitsSupport the definition of test procedures, setups, and acceptance criteriaAnalyse test data and produce clear technical test reportsSupport test reviews and validation activities with engineering and project teams Required Skills:
Aerospace background with experience in environmental testingStrong experience in thermal testing and vibration testingExperience testing electric motors, including temperature monitoring and performance evaluationUnderstanding of environmental test standards and proceduresAbility to work in a structured, regulated engineering environmentRequired Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.Proven experience in environmental testing within aerospace programmesFamiliarity with test documentation, reporting, and validation processesDesirable Skills:
Experience with thermal chambers, vibration rigs, and environmental test facilitiesKnowledge of aerospace environmental standards (e.g. DO-160, MIL-STD)Experience supporting electric or hybrid propulsion systems Why join us?
