Location: Manchester (Stockport)

Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain software build pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, and ArtifactoryDeploy and administer development tools including JIRA, Bitbucket, and other DevOps utilitiesDrive improvements to the CI/CD process, enabling high-frequency delivery and robust integrationWork with multi-disciplinary teams to maintain configuration traceabilityAttend team and project reporting meetings, feeding into dashboards and risk registers Required Skills
Strong experience in C++ (mandatory) and familiarity with JavaCI/CD pipeline build and optimisation experienceHands-on with Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, ArtifactoryExperience with Ansible, Shell/Bash/Python scriptingUnderstanding of Agile processes (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe)Awareness of containerisation using tools like Docker or KubernetesSoft Skills & Collaboration
Strong teamwork, collaborating effectively across multi-disciplinary engineering teams.Excellent communication skills, able to clearly convey technical and deployment information.Demonstrated leadership, mentoring colleagues, and influencing software delivery.Positive attitudes and behaviours, adaptable to fast-paced, complex environments.Capable of project reporting and supporting risk management discussions.Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline or relevant technical military background with equivalent hands-on experience.Must be eligible for or already hold UK Security Clearance (SC) Desirable Skills
