Responsibilities
Performance Test Planning & Strategy
Analyze non-functional requirements (NFRs) and define performance test objectives.Develop comprehensive performance test strategies, plans, scenarios, and scripts.Identify and document performance bottlenecks, risks, and improvement opportunities.Test Design & Execution
Develop and execute load, stress, endurance, spike, and scalability tests.Create performance test scripts using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, Gatling, etc.Simulate production-scale workloads and analyze application behaviour under various conditions.Monitoring & Analysis
Use APM tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, Grafana, Kibana) to monitor:CPUMemoryResponse timesError ratesThroughputDatabase performanceNetwork bottlenecksPerform root-cause analysis and provide actionable performance tuning recommendations.Collaboration
Work closely with developers, architects, DBAs, system engineers, and DevOps teams.Provide performance optimization suggestions related to:Application codeDatabase queriesInfrastructureCI/CD pipelinesCaching strategiesDocumentation & Reporting
Prepare detailed performance reports and present findings to stakeholders.Document test configurations, results, bottlenecks, and recommended optimizations. Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.3 to 8 years of hands-on experience in performance engineering and testing.Strong expertise with performance testing tools such as:JMeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, GatlingStrong experience with APM and monitoring tools:Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, Prometheus, ELKSolid understanding of:HTTP/HTTPS, APIs, web services, microservicesDatabases (SQL/NoSQL)Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)CI/CD pipelinesContainer technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.Ability to work independently and mentor junior engineers.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to converse with various teams (PO, Dev, Release/Deployment, Product Management, Leadership team, etc.)
