Key Responsibilities

Trend Research & Inspiration

Support the design team with trend, print and graphic research across multiple platforms, including online, retail and competitor analysis, with a strong awareness of the customer experience.Assist in translating seasonal trends into commercial designs that align with Primark brand handwriting.Help research colour, fabric and print directions using forecasting tools and popular culture insight.Support the preparation of trend boards and presentations for design and buying meetings, working collaboratively with the wider team.Graphic, Print & Range Design Support

Use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to assist in creating clear and accurate CADs, graphics and prints for Ladies Nightwear ranges.Support the development of cohesive ranges by assisting with print and graphic options under the guidance of the design team.Build an understanding of how graphics and prints are applied to garment shapes and support range building.Develop knowledge of women’s nightwear categories, fabrications and manufacturing capabilities.Licensing & Brand Awareness

Assist with licensed product design, gaining an understanding of licensor requirements and adapting artwork to meet partner brand guidelines and approval processes while maintaining Primark handwriting.Support the team in ensuring licensed and non-licensed designs meet brand, customer and commercial expectations.Demonstrate agility and openness to feedback, adapting designs based on internal and external input.Design Process, Approvals & Administration

Follow design briefs and guidance to ensure work aligns with agreed direction, timelines and quality standards.Support the tracking of design and trend updates and communicate changes clearly when working with others across teams.Assist in preparing artwork files, CADs and presentations for meetings and suppliers. Skills & Experience

Strong interest in graphic, print and trend-led fashion design.Creative, enthusiastic and eager to learn, with a passion for innovation and new ideas.A strong creative portfolio demonstrating graphic and print design skills.Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop.Ability to use Microsoft applications such as PowerPoint and Word.Positive and proactive attitude, with confidence to take feedback and develop decision-making skills.Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks with support, demonstrating flexibility and agility.Fashion or graphic design qualification or relevant training preferred.Does this sound like you?
