FIE: Foundation for International Education is an international educational organisation working in partnership with universities and colleges in the US to provide immersive study abroad programs for undergraduate students in London, Dublin, Madrid, Barcelona and Amman.
We are currently seeking qualified, resourceful and confident applicants for the following full-time, temporary position:
Job Title: Experiential Education (Internship) Coordinator (8 Months FTC)
Location: On-site (in person) role, South Kensington, London
Job Type: Full-time, Fixed-term, 8 months with the possibility to extend
Start Date: no later than 1st April 2026
Interviews: In person in South Kensington. To take place in week commencing 23rd February
Please note that this is a student-facing position which requires on-site working. Additionally, the post holder regularly conducts in-person visits to placement sites around the London area.
Job Summary: A stimulating and rewarding role for professionals experienced or interested in international education or student career counselling, this position is responsible for organising the placement of international undergraduate students into for-academic-credit, unpaid in-person and remote internship experience opportunities. An excellent and versatile communicator, the post holder liaises with students throughout the successes and challenges of their study abroad experience as well as London employers to build mutually beneficial partnerships and identify new opportunities.
The main skills and qualifications required for this position:
An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience Previous personal experience of having studied and/or worked abroad is preferred An understanding of the international education sector, preferably with some knowledge of the US Higher Education system, is desirable Experience working with international students and/or advising or counselling students is desirable Experience supporting internship or work experience placements, or working in career services, is desirable Excellent organisational and administrative skills with a high attention to detail Strong communication skills to engage effectively across different groups of stakeholders, including confidence in presenting to large groups The ability to prioritise a complex workload in a busy office and handle challenging situations with resilience A confident and outgoing personality with a positive attitude A strong command of written and spoken English and a high-quality telephone manner Excellent IT skills with knowledge of MS Office and databases A good working knowledge of London and its industries is desirable
