The Role We are looking for a Color Process Automation Technician to join the automation team. The role is focused on supporting the daily operations of the automated color production process, ensuring efficient workflow execution, troubleshooting operational issues, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The position reports directly to the Color Automation Engineering Manager and works closely with colorists, weighers, applicators, maintenance teams, and external suppliers.
What You’ll Be Doing as a Color Process Automation Engineer:
• Support the daily operation of the automated color manufacturing process, ensuring equipment availability and process continuity. • Monitor plant performance and promptly identify operational issues, anomalies, or deviations from established standards. • Perform first-level troubleshooting on automated systems and coordinate with maintenance teams or equipment suppliers when additional support is required. • Collaborate with Color Team Leaders to organize daily activities and operational priorities for weighers and applicators. • Verify that operating procedures are correctly applied and contribute to their continuous update and improvement. • Collect and analyze production and process data to support performance monitoring and operational improvements. • Manage and monitor the availability of consumables, materials, and operational instruments required for daily activities. • Support process optimization projects aimed at improving productivity, efficiency, quality, and reliability of automated systems. • Ensure that color application quality meets established standards and customer requirements. • Actively participate in EHS initiatives, promoting safe working practices and compliance with company procedures. • Support testing, validation, and implementation of process changes or new automation solutions within the laboratory environment.
Qualifications & Experience
• Technical High School Diploma (Mechanical, Chemical, Mechatronics, Electronics, Automation or similar) or ITS qualification in Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, Process Technologies, or related fields. • Previous experience in manufacturing, laboratory, chemical, pharmaceutical, packaging, or automated production environments is considered a plus. • Recent graduates with relevant technical education and internship experience are also encouraged to apply. • Basic understanding of industrial automation and production processes.

• Strong problem-solving attitude and hands-on approach to technical issues. • Ability to identify causes of recurring process or equipment inefficiencies and contribute to corrective actions. • Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic production environment. • Ability to work effectively with operators, technicians, maintenance personnel, and laboratory teams. • Data collection and reporting capabilities using standard business tools. • Interest in automation technologies and industrial production processes. • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on operational excellence. • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. • Knowledge & Skills
• Good knowledge of English. • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. • Ability to read technical documentation and operating procedures. • Basic understanding of automated equipment and industrial processes. • Analytical and detail-oriented approach. • Strong collaboration and communication skills. • Availability to spend a significant portion of the working day on the shopfloor and in the laboratory environment.
What we offer Classification as an employee at level (between level D3 and level C2) of the National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) for the Chemical-Pharmaceutical Industry, gross annual salary (RAL) between €30,000 and €37,000 + company canteen.
