Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:
As a Creative Artists/Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for developing original graphic designs and visual assets for apparel, marketing materials, catalogs, and digital platforms.
Working closely with Product Managers and the Creative Team, the role brings client concepts to life while ensuring a consistent and on-brand aesthetic across all projects.
This includes creating artwork for garments, social media, photography, presentations, and production templates, as well as supporting sales, website content, and promotional materials with high-quality creative output.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Creating unique graphic designs and elements for apparelCompiling eye-catching on brand presentations for the sales teamDesign advertising elements for retail and marketing materials like brochures and tradeshow booth graphicsHelping with the creation of our many catalogsDisplay a well-established knowledge of Typography, colour and designPerform photo editing and manipulation for catalogue and websiteProvide creative visual artwork and images for social media, photography, and apparelCreate artwork for templates used by production art teamReceive client artwork request from Product Managers and Customer Service RepresentativesAssist in Creating Social Media posts across all platformsSupporting the Creative Team with assets for our websiteCollaborate with Creative Team to keep a consistent look and feel to both design and photographySupporting all three business unites such as Golf, Pro-Sports and Corporate with 90% of time spent on Apparel Graphics versus Marketing or Digital AssetsDevelop original concepts based on existing brand guidelines rather than simply executing templates or following strict directionsCollaboration daily to weekly interactions with product managers through briefs and clarifications.Requirements
At least 2 to 5 years’ experience in a similar roleA portfolio displaying experience in Graphic DesignProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Expert level in Photoshop and Illustrator)Typography skillsDrawing skills - AdvantageousArt manipulationPhoto editingWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteHigh level of attention to detailExcellent teamwork skillsAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentMust provide a portfolio showcasing graphic and illustrative work, with an emphasis on pop culture, sports, and music, demonstrating strong conceptual design skills.Understanding in pop culture, sports culture, urban brands, and visual language of brands like Kith and Nike, focusing on conceptual design rather than production work.Knowledge of garment construction, fabric limitations, and print methods is important but can be taught on the jobUnderstanding of embroidery, screen printing, and sublimation would be beneficial but is not essential if candidates have strong design and art fundamentals
