About this role
We’re looking for a Creative Strategist / Growth Marketer who has been in the trenches and knows how to build, test, and scale direct-response ad creatives for CPG brands (DTC or omnichannel).
This is not a brand “vibes” role.
This is a performance-first role focused on what converts.
You will own the creative strategy for paid social and help drive revenue through structured creative testing, strong hook-driven messaging, and sharp performance analysis. You’ll work closely with designers, editors, creators, and media buyers to execute quickly and iterate constantly.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Strategy Ownership
Own and drive creative strategy across paid social channels including: Meta (Facebook & Instagram) TikTok YouTube Shorts Develop direct-response creative concepts rooted in: consumer psychology hook-first messaging offer and angle testing structured hypothesis-driven experimentation
Direct-Response Creative Development
Write and structure performance creatives including: ad scripts (UGC + founder-led) UGC briefs and creative direction static and video ad concepts messaging frameworks (hooks, claims, objections, proof, CTAs) Generate a consistent pipeline of high-volume ad ideas and iterations (not one-off concepts).
Testing Frameworks & Iteration
Build and manage creative testing systems designed for: velocity clear learning scaling winners Translate campaign performance into creative actions: what to scale what to kill what to iterate and re-test
Collaboration & Execution
Partner with: designers and video editors to execute fast media buyers to align testing priorities and data needs creators / UGC pipelines (when applicable) Ensure concepts are shipped quickly, clearly, and with performance intent.
Performance Analysis
Use performance data to evaluate creative effectiveness and drive decisions using metrics such as: CPA ROAS MER thumb-stop rate / hook rate creative fatigue signals Stay ahead of creative and platform trends, while maintaining a conversion-first approach.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in growth marketing, creative strategy, or performance creative roles. Hands-on experience supporting CPG brands (DTC or omnichannel). Proven ability to create direct-response ads that scale, not just awareness campaigns. Strong understanding of performance marketing levers including: hooks and scroll-stopping frameworks UGC-style creative patterns offer/angle testing systems full-funnel messaging Strong copy instincts and ability to write hooks, headlines, and CTAs that convert. Ability to operate both strategically and tactically (you can lead the strategy and also produce deliverables). Comfortable in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment with rapid iteration.
Bonus Points (Nice to Have)
Experience scaling brands from 6 → 7 or 8 figures. Background at a recognizable CPG or high-growth DTC brand. Experience briefing creators or managing UGC pipelines. Familiarity with structured creative volume systems (e.g., 10–20 new concepts/week plus iterative variations).
