The Electronic Engineering Technician is also responsible for helping to cross over old and obsolete parts for technicians, working on legacy products, helping to specify and recommend test equipment as well as performing production repair work as needed. ResponsibilitiesIdentify and develop new items for in-house electronic and motor department repairDocument and save all new set-up and test proceduresTrain technicians on new set-up proceduresAssist department head in purchasing all test equipmentAssist department head in managing and organizing the department in achieving goals of growth, service excellence and increased profitabilityAssist department head in directing or providing on-the-job training to ensure that all electronic technicians are properly trainedScan test procedures into computerIdentify and recommend replacement units to customers neededCross over foreign or obsolete partsWork on legacy productsPerform production work as neededOther projects and responsibilities may be added at the company's discretion.
