YOUR TASKS
This role coordinates and oversees daily production activities for an assigned shift, ensuring safety, quality, scheduling, and compliance while serving as a liaison between hourly employees and management. The position emphasizes leadership, problem-solving, training, and continuous monitoring to meet production goals efficiently.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Responsible for coordinating production within the departmentResponsible for monitoring, controlling, implementing, and reporting of all activities in the departmentThis position reports directly to the supervisor and/or department manager and is designated to a specified shiftLead by example and mentor the production employees to become a self-directed work forceEstablish decisions daily to better utilize people and equipment to make rate and organize absence coveragePromote and monitor safety throughout your area and in the plantParticipate in effective problem solving (CBS, 5 why, 4D)Mentor and train (or help arrange training) as necessary, to ensure the team is capable and effective in their daily tasksComplete and communicate daily shift end report and scheduleEscalate issues to supervisor/management that cannot be resolved by the teamMonitor production to ensure schedule is completed on timeCreate work orders in SAP and communicate with maintenance when neededCommunicate all matters of attendance and vacation requests directly to the supervisorLiaison between hourly employees and supervisorParticipate in the VAR employee dialogue process with supervisor as well as W.I.P. and inventory activitiesEnforce and respect departmental technical compliance to all mandatory policies including safety, environmental, ISO, quality, plant policy, corporate policy, etc.Must have problem solving and multi-tasking abilities and have flexibility to adjust work schedule to meet departmental needsUtilize broad technical background to include knowledge of the equipment and process within production areaMust be able and willing to monitor production equipment and people within an assigned area to allow early intervention when issues ariseMust be able and willing to coach team with respect to potential training needs on an ongoing basis and to promote team concepts and cohesion within the teamMust maintain all certificationsMay be required to obtain additional certificationsBe self-managed, detail-oriented, and capable of performing under pressureFollow all plant, ESH, CBS, quality, and department processes and proceduresOther duties as assignedNOTE: May not be inclusive of all work required and may be updated as needed.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
High school diploma or GED2 or more years of experience in Cold PrepMust have current certification on at least one cold prep machineMust be willing/able to obtain/maintain certifications including any additional certifications as required for roleThis role is an internal only position, external applicants will not be considered for this roleLegal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
