About this role

Within Western Australia, Sodexo is responsible for the operations, maintenance, and refurbishment of non-process infrastructure to clients within the mining and oil & gas sector. Sodexo plays a critical role in ensuring the resource sector can operate by providing quality catering, hospitality, and facilities maintenance services.

We are recruiting for a Project Management Officer to join our ever-growing Projects team based out of our head office in Balcatta.

Providing essential support to our Project Leads, Project Supervisors and other associated departments, this role is integral to the continued growth within our projects division.

Key Duties:

Review, adapt, and implement the Sodexo Project Management Framework and associated processes to facilitate the successful delivery of projects by the Sodexo Projects teamDevelop and deliver training material or workshops on the use of the Project Management Framework and associated processes and systemsDevelop and implement standardised Project Management reporting templates and processes, and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders as requiredImplement processes to facilitate planning, estimating, and proactive management of project and program level costs and schedulesContribute to an overall improvement in safety performance and showcase a zero-accident culture and mindsetAssist in day-to-day operations and administrative tasksPreparation of reportsDocument ManagementProvide support across project systemsThis is a permanent, full-time position based at our Balcatta office. You’ll have the opportunity to join an international leader in facilities management that values growth and development, offers flexible working arrangements, and empowers employees to take ownership of their roles. For the first 6 months, the role requires full-time, Monday to Friday attendance in the office. After this period, there is the opportunity to work from home 1 to 2 days per week, subject to discussion.

Qualifications:

Degree qualified – Project Management or Business Administration – preferred but not essentialExpert in Microsoft Word and ExcelExperience in Project Management Systems e.g. Microsoft Projects, Dynamics 365 or similar – preferred but not essentialDemonstrated experience in reviewing and successfully refining and implementing workflows, processes, and systemsAbility to influence users at all levels to adapt proposed changes in systems and processesExperience in coaching, mentoring, and delivery of training in systems and processesStrong work ethics and an understanding of corporate requirements and processesStrong professional business acumenHigh level of presentation and communication skills with the ability to professionally negotiate and achieve positive outcomesThis is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-performing team within a global organization that is a leader in the operations, maintenance, and refurbishment of non-process infrastructure.
