About this role
Support the Infrastructure Specialist in preparation of technical specifications for all equipment required for the system infrastructure deployment of the Project. • Technical evaluation of all tender bidding documents. • Support in preparation of SLA with the successful bidder. • Infrastructure implementation & deployment that can scale seamlessly as the project grows. • Support in equipment deployment as per the prepared design. • Part of the team in coordination with the Infrastructure Specialist for equipment configurations. • Support other teams to connect and make the system online. • OpenShift deployment, pipeline creation, and disaster recovery planning for applications. • Ensure & Implement redundancy, failover mechanisms, and disaster recovery plans • Prepare comprehensive documentation of the infrastructure design, configurations, procedures, and operational guidelines, and provide support & resolve daily operational issues regarding server, operating system, software-defined storage, switches connectivity, Virtualization, OS, OpenShift integration, application deployment, application operational issues, etc. • Prepare reports on project progress, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met. • Ensuring that the infrastructure is optimized for performance to meet project requirements. • Implementing robust security measures to protect the project's data and infrastructure from cyber threats (defining access controls, encryption policies, monitoring solutions, and incident response procedures, etc.) • Excellent technical knowledge of CIFS, NFS, Object Storage, S3, Linux, Unix, bash scripting automation tool like Ansible/chef, Windows, Webservers, DNS servers, virtualization, including OpenShift or any other CICD infrastructure experience, Backup & Restore software, etc. • Must have expertise in Troubleshooting Linux, Unix, complex computing platforms, storage systems, and cutting-edge technologies involving virtualization, distribution, and high availability. • Expertise in Server operating system administration, such as Windows, Linux, etc. • Expertise in system, storage, troubleshooting, performance tuning, hardening, firmware upgrade, and patching • Technical expertise in designing, installing, configuring, and supporting backup systems and management software
