About this role

Master’s Degree in Economics/Public Policy from HEC recognized national/foreign university with minimum ten years of post-degree professional experience. or PhD in Economics/Public Policy from HEC recognized national/foreign institution with minimum five years of post-degree professional experience. (i)In-depth knowledge of customs tariffs, tariff classification, trade policy, input-output tables. (ii)Experience in macro-econometric modeling and policy simulations. The applicant must have worked on the large tariff/trade data, consisting of millions of observations, on trade. (iii)Strong knowledge of Python, SQL, machine learning and cloud computing for data management and analysis. (iv)A proven track record of published research papers in peer-reviewed research journals and recognized research organizations (at least 10), preferably in the field of international trade. 1.Positions are based in Islamabad and are on a contract basis initially for a period of three (03) years and extendable for further two (02) years, subject to performance evaluation. The selected candidate will be offered lump sum salary. The salaries of the selected candidates will be revised annually with a 10% to 15% increase in salary package, depending on satisfactory performance. ii.
