About this role
Responsible for as a Librarian: --------------------------------- a. Establish and implement library policies and procedures. b. Prepare and administer the budget for the library. c. Develop organize and maintain library collection to meet the demands of specific user groups. d. Acquisition, Classification and cataloging of books. e. Respond rapidly and reliably to information requests through the use of all appropriate resources. f. Stay currents with trends and developments by reviewing publication, attending professional events and receiving training from different libraries/departments. g. Stock taking and subscription of magazines, Periodicals and newspapers in time. h. Conduct bibliographic searches to support user and organizational information needs. i. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulation including copyright in connection with use of library materials and resources. j. Supervise all the work of library staff. k. To be responsible for upkeep of library through Administration Branch. Perform as Teacher: ---------------------- a. Teaching Pakistan Studies to SSC Level. b. Paper setting and marking of these classes. c. Invigilation duties. d. POD duty. Minimum Qualification: -------------------------- - BS in Library and Information Sciences or above from a HEC recognized University - 5 years of general age relaxation has already been added.
