Are you passionate about helping young people succeed? Ilminster E-ACT Academy is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive and ambitious team.

In this rewarding role, you will work closely with teachers to provide targeted support to pupils, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You will play a key part in creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and confident to thrive.

We are looking for someone who is patient, caring, and motivated, with strong communication skills and a genuine desire to make a difference. Previous experience in an educational setting is desirable but not essential—full training and development opportunities are provided.

Key responsibilities:

Provide in-class support to students, working alongside teachers to enhance learning and engagementAssist pupils with additional needs, adapting support to meet individual learning plansEncourage positive behaviour and help maintain a focused, inclusive classroom environmentSupport small group work and deliver targeted interventions where requiredMonitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachersWork collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO, and other professionalsPay range: SCP5-7 - £17,645.80 - £18,201.08 - FTE: £25,583.00 - £26,403.00 - 29 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
