About the role:

Are you an excellent administrator, looking for the next step in your career as a Research Group Administrator? This is a key role in supporting our Academics, researchers and their work within the National Heart and Lung Institute (NHLI).

What you would be doing:

This is a dynamic role, providing administrative support to the Section events and activities with a wide range of duties.

You will be the first point of contact, welcoming visitors and promoting a positive image of NHLI and the college. You will manage diaries of our Head of Division and Sections and organise their travel. You will Act as Secretary for Section meetings and committees including drafting agendas, papers and minutes with the committee Chairs. Coordinate subcommittees and working groups as required. You will assist in the entering and maintenance of electronic/online information such as professional activities, CVs, publication lists, membership registration etc, ensuring proper record keeping You will be familiar with document referencing using software such as Symplectic

What we are looking for:

You will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience with an open and flexible approach to your day-to-day work. Great communication skills both verbal and written, and the ability to deal with staff of all levels as well as students You will have experience of organising seminars, interviews, conferences and workshops Previous experience of working in a higher education office environment, ideally in a research setting
