Salary from £43,277 - £51,714 per annum with potential to progress to £54,497 pa inclusive of London allowance

The role

This new role – offered on an initial two-year fixed-term contract – plays a pivotal role in advancing LSE’s global engagement by shaping and delivering strategic collaborations in support of the School’s international ambitions. As a key member of the expanding International Strategy and Academic Partnerships team, you will work collaboratively across LSE to identify and develop new academic partnerships with universities worldwide. With a particular focus on mobility projects, you will support the development of new initiatives – including short-term mobility programmes – and contribute to LSE’s outreach in emerging regions. You will focus primarily on institutional engagement, working in close alignment with LSE’s student-facing study abroad team.

Key objectives include:

Advancing LSE’s international priorities through mobility-focused academic collaborations such as double master’s degrees, student exchange opportunities and innovative new models of mobility. Identifying new initiatives in regions of growing strategic importance. Supporting work to raise LSE’s global profile and reputation through targeted engagement and partnership development. Contributing to the ongoing review and management of institutional partnerships.

The team

You’ll be joining a growing, friendly team that works collaboratively with colleagues across LSE. ISAP is an integral part of the Philanthropy and Global Engagement (PAGE) Division, leading on developing partnerships with universities, networks, and alliances in support of the School’s International Strategy.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for candidates with the ability to coordinate international partnership activities from initial idea to successful implementation, with the tenacity to see projects through to their conclusion.

You will have:

Experience of coordinating partnership or project activities, ideally in a university setting Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels of seniority and across cultures Ability to identify future opportunities for new initiatives and the confidence to develop an idea into a business case A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and work with limited supervision Experience in drafting and negotiating partnership agreements or similar documents

What LSE has to offer

We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave, hybrid working, and excellent training and development opportunities.
