Job summary
As an experienced Lead Practice Nurse at Churchside you will play a crucial role in providing high quality care to our patients. You must be friendly, patient focussed, calm and organised, as well as someone who communicates well with people at all levels. We are seeking someone who provides compassionate care and has attention to detail. Ideally you will have experience working with SystmOne, but full training can be provided.
The role requires you to work 37.5 hours per week. Hours can be condensed into 4 days (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday), or worked over 5 days. Wednesday will be a later finish as we provide Enhanced Access opening hours for patients, and start time each day will be 7.30am.
We would also split this role into 2 part time positions and consider recruiting 2 experienced Practice Nurses.
We are seeking applicants who have experience working as a Practice Nurse in a GP setting as we do not have the capacity at this time to train someone.
Main duties of the job
Your clinical capabilities should demonstrate that you are someone who can confidently deal with the following patient needs;
1) Monitor Patient Vital Signs and record medical information accurately2) Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care3) Conduct patient assessments and provide appropriate care4) Cytology5) Baby Immunisations6) Administer vaccines and medications as needed7) Chronic Disease Management (Diabetes, COPD, Asthma)8) Educate Patients on health management and lifestyle choices9) HRT Reviews10) Woundcare and supporting the HCA's with these11) Phlebotomy12) Dealing with Samples13) Infection Control Lead14) Ordering of clinical stock items15) Fridge and Stock Rotations
As we are ideally looking for a Lead, previous experience in this capacity would be advantageous.
