About this role
We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and hands-on Maintenance Manager in Training (MMIT) to join our team. This role is designed for individuals looking to grow into a leadership position within facility maintenance operations. The MMIT will work closely with Maintenance Managers and club leadership to learn daily operations, safety standards, team leadership, inventory management, and overall facility excellence.
This is a development program designed to prepare candidates for promotion into a Maintenance Manager role. Candidates who successfully complete the MMIT program and demonstrate strong leadership, operational knowledge, accountability, and performance will have the opportunity to become a Maintenance Manager.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Assist with maintaining club cleanliness and facility standardsLearn and support daily maintenance operations and proceduresConduct facility walkthroughs and identify maintenance concernsSupport locker room, laundry, and facility floor operationsAssist with inventory tracking and supply organizationLearn scheduling, staffing support, and shift managementEnsure all safety protocols and company standards are followedSupport emergency response and facility issue resolutionWork alongside leadership to develop management and communication skillsHelp maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members and staff To perform this job successfully, an individual should meet the following minimum requirements and qualifications:
Experience in the Housekeeping department of a commercial business or fitness setting preferredKnowledge in maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and exercise equipment Knowledge and experience with tools Knowledge and experience with janitorial cleaning products and OSHA standards Current C.P.R. and First Aid Certification Ability to utilize new techniques, ideas and solve problems Possess honesty and personal integrity Hardworking and diligent High sense of urgency around all work details Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferredPay Transparency: $20.00 per hour
