Job Summary
Responsible for the planning and coordinating of the commissioning for xScale in large-scale greenfield data centers across multiple campuses in the Americas region. Responsible for the development and creation of best practice documentation globally and reporting.

Project Management
Creates and implements multi-facility, standards-based commissioning plans and schedulesAssesses, recommends and implements industry best practices into new and existing Critical Environment ProgramsCommunicates effectively with both business operations and construction managers on a monthly basisResponsible for regional, long-term pipeline management to inform resource planningExecutes commissioning through a structured, stage-gated delivery model, using defined commissioning levels and objective readiness criteria to inform decisions and progression.
Liaises with internal construction managers and external general contractors on the planning and execution of all commissioning activitiesDevelops and maintains commissioning logs, equipment checklist, and other tools to track commissioning projectsResponsible for input into the project budget for all commissioning activitiesReviews electrical and mechanical Functional Performance Test procedures and Factory Witness Test procedures Customer Interface
Develops and issues customer-facing reportsInteracts with and presents to key customers on progress against commissioning plans and achievement of Ready for Sales (RFS) datesActs as point of contact for customer escalations throughout the commissioning process Process Management
Analyses processes, develop process documentation, and develops commissioning programs and procedures that are globally applicableProvides feedback to senior management for the continuous improvement of the global commissioning processDevelops standardized schedules and commissioning scopes based on industry best practices and specific customer contract requirements Reporting
Responsible for all internal and external progress reporting for all projects during the commissioning phase, in coordination with construction directorPrepares commissioning test procedures and reportsWrites comprehensive reports that include recommendations for optimizing building operations, functional checklists, list of deficiencies, equipment operation and maintenance manualsResponsible for collating historical data regarding specific equipment start-up and testing challenges and reporting back to all Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) equipment vendorsManages internal tools and data analytics/metrics reporting Vendor Management
Defines the appropriate feedback methodology to implement in order to provide vendors with feedback and opportunities for improvementResponsible for production of project-specific commissioning RFPs and responding to bid clarificationsResponsible for levelling and recommending commissioning consultant awardLeads and manages external resourcesSchedules and directs periodic commissioning meetingsDetermines vendor KPIs and conducts lessons learned reviews Qualifications
10+ years of data center commissioning experience preferred5+ years leadership experience in a mission-critical environment preferredBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering preferred The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
United States - Atlanta 1 Field Office : 177,000 - 265,000 USD / Annual
United States - Chicago Office CHO : 195,000 - 293,000 USD / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
