Job Description
The Traffic Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and routing customer shipments; as well as preparing and completing all necessary paperwork for each shipment. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. This list is not all inclusive.
Provide instructions to external driversThoroughly and accurately complete all required paperworkDocument and maintain records of shipmentsUtilizing routing guidelines to coordinate outgoing shipmentsCommunicating with customers internal and externally as neededCoordinate various modalities with customers for outgoing shipmentsUtilizes various systems to route customer shipmentsUtilizes various systems to print and prepare all necessary paperwork for product shipmentsPrepares and coordinates all necessary documents for customer manifests, bill of lading, and any other related documentsDocuments and maintain records of shipmentsCoordinates with the operations team to ensure successful scheduling of customer shipmentsFollows process and procedures for each customer
Qualifications
One year or more of related experience in the transportation or distribution fieldHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)Communication skills: Able to speak effectively to employees, management customers, andAbility to work with a sense of urgency and succeed in a fast pace, high volume environment.Able to accurately perform organized, accurate, and detailed work.Skilled in problem-solvingSkilled with Microsoft Office Programs including Excel, OutlookSelf-directed- able to complete work with little day to day directionAble to effectively communicate verbally and in written form with external customers and internal partners at all organizational levels.
