Job Title: Junior Application Engineer - PCB Design and SI/PI Simulations

Job Overview:
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to join Cadence's Application Engineering team and grow into a technical expert on our industry-leading PCB and Simulation solutions, part of the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) domain.
You will support both pre-sale and post-sale activities - working closely with top-tier European customers to deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, training, and hands-on support. You will receive thorough, long-term training on Cadence technology, making this an ideal role for a recent graduate or junior engineer looking to build deep expertise in PCB design and signal/power integrity simulation within a collaborative, multinational environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Deliver pre-sale and post-sale technical activities across Cadence PCB and Simulation solutions, supporting customers throughout their design and evaluation journeyCreate and conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, training sessions, and knowledge-transfer workshops for top-tier European customersRecommend technical solutions based on Cadence PCB and Simulation tools, identifying opportunities and risks associated with each proposalPartner with the sales team to build technical strategies for new prospects and propose the best-fit solution for each customerProvide technical training, workshops, and ongoing support to European customersInvestigate customer issues, diagnose root causes, and identify effective workaroundsChannel customer feedback and improvement suggestions back to the R&D teamsContribute to and participate in collaborative team projects across the Application Engineering organisation Job Qualifications:
Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering1-2 years of relevant experience, or recent graduates with internship experienceExcellent written and oral communication skills in FrenchGood written and oral communication skills in English (with the opportunity to take English classes to develop further)Ability to work effectively in a multinational engineering environment, communicating and building consensus with both internal teams and external customersWillingness to travel for customer visits and internal training (occasional travel required)A collaborative team player with a positive, supportive approach Additional Skills/Preferences:
Knowledge of schematic entry, PCB design, and simulation (full training on Cadence PCB and Simulation software will be provided)A basic understanding of PCB tools within PCB design and conception flowsExperience with any electronic board-design or simulation software (training will be provided on tools such as Allegro X PCB Designer, Allegro System Capture, InspectAR, and ECAD MCAD Library Creator)Experience in PCB designExperience in signal and power integrity at PCB levelKnowledge of TCL or other programming languages Cadence is committed to equal employment opportunity and employment equity throughout all levels of the organization.
