About this role

The opportunity

Join an innovative R&D team shaping high voltage technologies. You will contribute to the simulation and analysis of thermo-fluid phenomena relevant to switching performance and thermal behavior in gas circuit breakers. The work combines numerical simulation, data analysis, and engineering evaluation, supporting ongoing product development activities. You will work in a multidisciplinary R&D environment and collaborate with experienced engineers and researchers in the field of high-voltage technology. Bring your curiosity and make an impact from day one. The duration of the internship is 6 - 12 months.

Setup and run 2D and 3D CFD simulationsPerform thermo-fluid simulations using ANSYS FluentAnalyze and evaluate simulation and experimental dataPost-process results using internal engineering toolsCollaborate on improving simulation models and approachesSupport product development through engineering insightsDocument simulation setups and key findingsContribute ideas to enhance performance and design Your background

Enrolled in Bachelor or Master or done with studies in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar fieldKnowledge of computational fluid dynamics and thermal managementFamiliarity with CAD tools and experience using ANSYS FluentProgramming skills in Python or MATLABStrong English communication skills and team-oriented mindsetWillingness to handle responsibilities independently More about us
