The Opportunity:
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing new products and maintaining existing portfolio for electro-mechanical relays. These relays are used by our customers throughout the globe. How you'll make an impact
Design and develop mechanical components for electro-mechanical relays, ensuring high performance and reliabilityApply industry best practices like Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), DesignFailure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Tolerance Stack-up analysis to optimize product robustness and manufacturabilityGenerate engineering documentation, including detailed drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material (BOM), to support manufacturing processExecute validation and verification activities to qualify the developed componentsWork closely with Vendors and Quality teams, including for mold developmentContribute to continuous improvement projects, fostering innovation throughout the product lifecycle.Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business. Your Background
Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline4-8 years of experience in manufacturing-focused research and developmentStrong expertise in 3D modelling and drafting using tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCADIn-depth knowledge of sheet metals and plastics, including material selectionFamiliarity with fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly processesHands-on experience with prototyping and mechanical testing (e.g., Vibration and Thermal cycling)Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required Apply now Current employees apply here
