High Voltage Products is a business unit within Hitachi Energy key part of the energy transformation. The business unit develops, manufactures, and markets high voltage products for HVAC and HVDC systems, such as surge arresters, breakers, instrument transformers, capacitors, cooling systems and cable accessories. Your responsibilities :

You will develop the next generation capacitors focusing on the electrical designSupport R&D project or work-package, with structured and target-oriented working styleBuild experimental set-ups, conduct tests and analyze test results, possibly including physical modellingWork with a global R&D team ensuring a knowledge sharing, timely and high-quality deliverablesClose collaboration with our Power Grids Research organization and with academiaCreate ideas and proposals for new R&D projectsEffectively communicate with colleagues, customers, suppliers and other external partnersDocument results in the form of technical reports, presentations, IP etc. Your background :

Background in dielectrics, HV physics and/or electrotechnology, PhD or MScSound analytical skills and experience with planning, conducting and analysis of experiments.Ability to also work in other technical areas, as for example: materials, insulation systems, thermal management, Multiphysics integration.Fluency in English, both written and spoken.Experience in, or ability to develop, project management and technical leadership skills.Bonus if you also have working experience of modelling and characterization of HV capacitors and/or other HV devices with solid insulation.
