The Technical Support Engineer - UPS will provide factory support to Eaton local Service teams. This role supports the full EMEA region but focuses on ME region UPS customers. It also provides service trainings to Eaton local Service Engineers and ASP's (Authorized Service Partner) is part of the job. This role is in contact with Eaton local Service teams and ASP's, not the end-customer directly.
What you'll do:
Diagnose and resolve technical issues with 3-Phase UPS systemsProvide expert technical support to local and regional field service engineers in their daily activities via remote tools and on-site visitsManage and lead troubleshooting and take corrective actions in challenging field incidentsAssist FSEs and customers with the installation, configuration and start-up of UPS systemsCollaborate with the Engineering and AE team to address and resolve issues and report to Quality on field findingsProvide service trainings for FSEs and ASPs, including onsite, remote and eLearning trainingsCreate and maintain a comprehensive technical documentation, field service bulletins and service guidesParticipate in new product development projects as a voice of customer and provide field service perspectiveContribute to the zero-incident culture supporting safety of field engineers through instructions and trainingCoordinate with the factory teams located in other countries (Finland & China) for technical and product support" Qualifications:
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering 2+ years of service experience in power electronics and/or experience in technical support role in three-phase power electronics. The role could be suited e.g. for a field service engineer (FSE) Skills:
Experience in technical support or a similar roleStrong technical knowledge on power electronics and/or three phase electrical systemsExperience on UPS technologies is an advantageStrong work ethic, Communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCustomer-orientedFocus on delivering high-quality support What We Offer:
