Job Purpose and Impact
The Environmental Health and Safety - EHS Specialist will provide a full range of professional services inclusive of health and safety, environment and process safety and will lead site level execution for Wazirabad site. In this role, you will work directly with site leaders, and employees under guidance of country EHS director to ensure environmental health and safety excellence leading to protecting what matters.
Key Accountabilities
Partner with site leaders, and operations to execute EHS programs and manage EHS risk at the sites by having robust EHS risk assessments and Management Plans Act as the lead for all EHS matters for a site Ensure full compliance and conformance to applicable EHS laws notified by state and central governments. . Identify and prioritize critical gaps and risks and develop strategy and action plans to improve environmental health and safety programs, processes and systems inclusive of health and safety, environment and process safety. Lead strong EHS culture building initiatives and deliver tangible results. Deliver training programs on a defined frequency to all applicable levels of the organization. Review effectiveness of the training plan and adjust accordingly Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (Preferred Engineering) Plus Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety from state or central govt recognized institutions with 5 to 7 years of work experience in EHS function in any manufacturing industry Able to lead site EHS function independently Additional certification like ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 are preferred but not mandatory
