Description Leidos Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Power Delivery Solutions division. In this role, you will work alongside team members to provide Project Management Services supporting electric utility clients throughout the Northern and Midwestern US. You will oversee a portfolio of diverse Substation projects. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for portfolio management, client relations and driving special initiatives. Additionally, you will lead larger proposals, help to manage other PMs, and ensure the successful delivery of projects while adhering to Leidos' Mission, Vision, and Values.
This role has some remote and hybrid-working capabilities, but candidates must be located in or adjacent to the greater Chicago area in order to be considered. This allows us to best serve the needs of our localized utility clients and internal teams.

Lead a team of project managers to deliver comprehensive substation engineering design projects for electric utility clientsTake ownership of overall portfolio performance, including cost, schedule, and scope managementDrive strategic initiatives within the organization, focusing on process improvements and operational efficienciesMentor and develop project management staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learningInterface with clients and internal stakeholders to address issues, report progress, and mitigate risks across the project portfolioOversee the preparation of bid documents, cost estimates, and responses to Requests For ProposalManage monthly client invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable processesIdentify and pursue business development opportunities to support organizational growthEnsure compliance with contract requirements and quality control standardsMaintain regular communication with stakeholders, including clients, project teams, subcontractors, and support personnel Qualifications/Background Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance or Related fieldMinimum of eight (8) years of relevant Project Management experience in the electric power industry or associated fieldwith BS Degree OR minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience with a Master's degreePrevious experience working with electric utilities requiredMust demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the electric power industry/electric power infrastructure projectsDemonstrated experience working with project financials, bid proposals and cost estimatesDemonstrated experience with portfolio management, contract management and risk mitigationStrong leadership skills with a focus on portfolio management and team developmentProficiency in project management software (e.g., Workfront, MS Project, P6) and MS Office SuiteExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to travel periodically as required, so candidates should posses a valid US driver's license Preferred Qualifications:

Pay Range:
Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
