Description and Requirements

The Project Manager Clinical Transformation (PM) supports the end-to-end coordination and execution of cross-functional initiatives focused on clinical operations enablement, workflow modernization, regulatory readiness, operational adoption, and technology implementation across Healthfirst. The PM is responsible for coordinating clinical project activities, maintaining project plans and governance materials, supporting operational and regulatory initiatives, and driving execution of defined deliverables, timelines, risks, and dependencies. The PM collaborates with clinical, operational, technology, vendor, compliance, and business stakeholders to support implementation efforts for Utilization Management, Care Management, and related clinical operations platforms. The incumbent manages medium-to-large-scale projects with department-level or enterprise-level importance, moderate to high complexity, cross-functional interdependencies, and measurable operational, clinical, or business outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Organize and lead project teams through the full project life cycle, from initiation through implementation and stabilizationDevelop, maintain, and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, meeting documentation, status reports, decision logs, issue trackers, and action-item trackingPartner with clinical, operational, technology, vendor, compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implementation activities align with business and clinical needsTranslate business, clinical, and operational requirements into executable project plans, deliverables, milestones, and workstream activitiesCoordinate project execution, resource planning, and cross-functional activities to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and aligned to budget expectationsMaintain project governance materials required for medium-to-large-scale initiatives, including status reporting, risk and issue logs, dependency tracking, and escalation materialsEstablish and actively manage project stakeholder expectations, relationships, communication rhythms, and accountability structuresMonitor and report on project milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, decisions, and dependencies, escalating to leadership as appropriateManage deliverables across functional teams to ensure outputs meet defined timelines, quality expectations, implementation requirements, and project guidelinesTailor project management methods based on project size, complexity, delivery methodology, stakeholder needs, regulatory considerations, and organizational impactReport project status to project sponsors and leadership, escalating changes, risks, issues, and barriers for resolution as neededCollaborate with resource managers and functional leaders to support appropriate resource planning and project deliveryAchieve project objectives in accordance with Healthfirst project management methodologies, standards, policies, and governance expectationsPerform additional duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experienceHS Diploma or GED from an Accredited InstitutionExperience managing cross-functional projects that yielded meaningful resultsExperience engaging and communicating with key stakeholders including senior-level leadershipExperience with project change management, portfolio risk management, project communication management and organization change managementExperience managing multiple priorities, coordinating across teams, escalating issues appropriately, and driving project execution in a matrixed environment Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree from an accredited institutionAdvanced-level certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), or LeanPrior experience leading medium to large scale, clinically focused projects within healthcare or health insuranceDemonstrated experience delivering AI-enabled platforms, advanced analytics solutions or new software platforms solutions within healthcare operationsExperience supporting technology implementations, application upgrades, platform migrations, system integrations, or operational transformation initiativesIndustry work experience in healthcare such as hospital, including managed or long-term care, health insurance, hospital long-term care, government or other healthcare agencyKnowledgeable of Department of Health (DOH) and Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations Hiring Range:

Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $103,400 - $149,430All Other Locations (within approved locations): $88,700 - $131,920 As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
