The scheme enables the opportunity for planning a 'holiday of a lifetime' or extended paid break The Trust is looking to recruit a part time (0.6) Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our CATAT team. The outreach pathway is for children and young people under the age of 18, who have been identified as requiring or at significant risk of admission to Tier 4 levels of care and treatment only. There are no other criteria for accessing the service.
The team provide the service 7 days a week to ensure consistent support and access. The maximum current case load size is 8 young people who could receive up to a daily contact from the team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to work in several different settings within the Locality, including other Trust facilities, primary care, local acute Hospital NHS Trust facilities, and patients' residences. The post holder will also be the Responsible Clinician for patients in their care.Working within CATAT, the post holder will undertake, exceptionally, to perform additional duties in emergencies and unforeseen circumstances and to be available for such irregular commitments outside normal duties as are essential for continuity of patient care which will on occasion involve seeing people at home and allowing time for 'hard to engage' children and families.
