Job summary
We are looking to appoint a dynamic and suitably experienced Mental Health Nurse, who is flexible and able to work on own initiative, as well as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible as a community mental health nurse for the assessment and coordination of care needs, planning and implementation of evidence based care to a defined group of service users and their carers within a defined catchment area/locality. To provide professional advice and support to other agencies and members of the multidisciplinary team, to act as a role model and resource for junior/less experienced staff.

Job description Job responsibilities
As a key coordinator of mental health treatment and care, you will hold a caseload of service users and have a number of responsibilities that include assessment and management of personalised care needs. Once needs are identified you will be expected to plan and implement evidence-based care to the service users and their carers. You will have the support and supervision of your Team You will be able to draw on the interventions and expertise provided by your MDT colleagues, such as Support Workers, Psychologists, Employment Specialists, Family Therapists, occupational therapists and Medical Colleagues.
