Magna Group Practice require an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Phlebotomist to join our busy friendly team.
The ideal candidate should be able to work well in a team and demonstrate the ability to be proactive in developing the practice.
Working 24 hours a week, 08:00am - 14:00pm.
Mondays and Fridays - Working at Valley Health Centre
Tuesdays and Thursdays - Working at Wath Health Centre
Main duties of the job
Working under the direct supervision of the Lead Nurse and strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols, the Phlebotomist will assist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.

The main duties and responsibilities of the role are detailed below:
BP Monitoring .Urinalysis.Phlebotomy.Weight Monitoring.Chaperone when required.Monthly checks on clinical room bags as per the tick list.Maintaining equipment used by the Nursing team.Ensure sharp's bins are ready for collection.Ensure specimens are correctly labelled and bagged ready for collection.Administration duties, audits, patient recalls, BP averaging.The Phlebotomist will be instructed and supported by the lead Nurse on clinical matters and training.
Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
GCSE Grade A to C in English and Maths. Good Computer and Keyboard Skills Qualified in Phlebotomy
Experience Essential
Demonstrable experience of working in a Phlebotomy role with competence in basic duties required for the post. Experience in dealing with the public/patients. Excellent Communication skills.
Desirable
Experience of working in Primary Care or GP Practice Experience of Systm1 clinical system Experience of Microsoft Office software
