Job summary
The Cellular Pathology Department at East Sussex Healthcare Trust is looking to recruit a highly motivated 'Clinical Administrator' to join our busy, yet friendly department. We have one part time, fixed term position available.

The post holder will provide support to the Scientific and Consultant staffs of the department by carrying out all administrative duties to a high standard and supporting the core service work of the department. The post holder will be expected to work as part of a team within the Cellular Pathology office.
Main duties of the job
To provide secretarial and clerical support to the Consultant Histopathologists; to carry out data entry into the pathology LIMS systems; to type specimen reports /referral letters; to gather slides for MDMs and print out associated reports; to interact with patients, general public, clinicians and trust staff as necessary; to maintain accurate filing systems; to undertake general office duties e.g. photocopying / sending emails according to guidelines; to respond to queries in the generic email inbox.

Qualifications Essential
Evidence of good general education to GCSE level including Maths and English NVQ 3 Business and Administration or equivalent level of knowledge and experience

A.M.S.P.A.R or medical secretary qualification NVQ 4 in Business and Administration ECDL or equivalent IT qualification
Experience Essential
Good level of recent secretarial experience in a busy office environment Experience of maintaining records Use of audio and working in a secretarial capacity
