About this role

At Hitachi Energy, purpose drives everything we do. Our Market Management System (MMS) teams build advanced software that electricity market operators rely on to manage, optimize, and operate some of the world's largest and most complex power networks.

In this role, you will join a highly specialized Quality Assurance team focused on validating mission-critical software that supports real-time energy markets, grid security, and optimization. Your work will directly influence system reliability, performance, and customer success.

You'll collaborate with engineers, domain experts, and global teams to test sophisticated solutions across data management, network modeling, optimization, and operational control. Translate business and functional requirements into effective test strategiesDesign and execute functional and non-functional test casesPrepare, validate, and manage complex data sets for system testingCollaborate closely with engineering and subject matter expertsDevelop reusable test automation and validation toolsExecute integration, regression, performance, and acceptance testingAnalyze test results and drive quality improvementsSupport issue investigation, resolution, and verification Your background

Advanced degree (MTech / ME or PhD) in Electrical EngineeringAcademic or practical experience in power systems optimizationKnowledge of power system modeling, analysis, or optimization methodsExperience with software testing, scripting, or automation (e.g., Python)Familiarity with Linux, Windows, or similar operating systemsStrong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently More about us
