About this role

Job Summary

The Mechanical Maintenance - Level II role is responsible for performing maintenance and machine support activities to ensure manufacturing equipment remains reliable, available, and efficient. The position involves working with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems, applying maintenance practices with limited supervision, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The role may also involve coaching less experienced team members and contributing to operational excellence on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)

Adhere to all HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsIdentify, report, and address unsafe conditions, hazards, and incidentsUse appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all timesPromote a culture of safety and interdependence within the teamParticipate in HSE training and environmental sustainability initiatives Maintenance & Equipment Support

Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipmentExecute preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activitiesSupport equipment uptime and downtime analysis to improve reliabilitySchedule maintenance activities in alignment with production requirementsMaintain clean, organized work areas and follow housekeeping standards CNC / Mechanical Systems Support

Perform maintenance on CNC machines, particularly Horizontal Machining Centers (HMCs)Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical systems including:Ball screws, spindles, bearings, guideways, fixtures, APCsPumps, motors, lubrication and coolant systemsSupport machine operations including homing, backlash adjustments, and MDI functionsWork with associated systems such as:Gantry systems, honing machines, washing systems, leak testing equipmentGauging systems, vision systems, CMES and traceability systemsMaterial handling equipment and overhead cranes Quality & Process Compliance

Perform work as per diagrams, manuals, and technical specificationsFollow all quality standards, process documentation, and inspection proceduresIdentify and escalate issues to minimize quality and cost risksSupport preventive maintenance systems with feedback and improvements Documentation & Continuous Improvement

Record maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts usage accuratelyCoordinate with Continuous Improvement (CIP) teams for spare part planning and localizationDevelop SOPs and one-point lessons for maintenance processesParticipate in Kaizen, cost-saving, and energy-saving initiativesPrepare and share maintenance reports and MIS data Teamwork & Development

6-8 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environmentExperience working with CNC machines, preferably HMCsExperience in cylinder block and cylinder head manufacturing preferredIntermediate to advanced knowledge of maintenance systems and processes Internal Considerations

Experience with CNC systems such as Siemens Sinumerik (828 / Sinumerik One) preferredKnowledge of equipment such as ATLAS COPCO / DESOUTERS tools, gantry systems, honing machines, and gauging systemsFamiliarity with CMES, traceability systems, and centralized coolant systemsAbility to work in shifts and support production demandsStrong focus on safety, continuous improvement, and proactive problem-solving Job Manufacturing
