Job Summary
This role is responsible for performing maintenance and machine support activities to ensure manufacturing equipment remains available, reliable, and capable of meeting production requirements. The position involves troubleshooting, preventive and breakdown maintenance, and continuous improvement of equipment performance while adhering to Cummins' safety, quality, and operational standards.
The technician works with limited guidance, applying technical knowledge to maintain mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)
Follow all HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Identify and report hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions; stop work if required.Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.Apply LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures and safe practices when working with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. Maintenance & Equipment Support
Perform preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on manufacturing equipment.Troubleshoot and repair CNC machines, Fanuc controllers, pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, cooling towers, and gauging systems (e.g., Marposs).Diagnose issues related to machine drives, ball screws, and control systems.Ensure equipment uptime through timely interventions and effective problem-solving. Quality & Compliance
Execute maintenance activities in accordance with technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.Perform quality inspections and ensure high standards of workmanship.Support downtime analysis and provide feedback to improve preventive maintenance systems.Follow all process documentation and quality procedures to minimize cost and quality risks. Delivery & Operational Support
Schedule and perform maintenance activities aligned with production requirements.Maintain clean and organized work areas, including machine cleaning and housekeeping.Identify manufacturing constraints and contribute to process improvements.Support production goals by ensuring equipment reliability and availability. Continuous Improvement
Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and continuous improvement initiatives.Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and equipment performance.Contribute ideas and solutions to enhance manufacturing processes. Teamwork & Communication
Collaborate effectively with production, engineering, and support teams.Communicate maintenance issues, status updates, and improvement ideas clearly.Participate in training and skill development aligned with business needs. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent technical certification required.Additional technical training in mechanical, electrical, or maintenance disciplines is preferred.May require licensing for compliance with export control or regulatory requirements. Core Competencies

Technical Skills
Hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical maintenance .Strong troubleshooting skills for CNC machines and industrial equipment.Knowledge of Fanuc controllers, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pumps, and cooling systems .Understanding of machine components such as drives, ball screws, and control systems.Familiarity with gauging systems (e.g., Marposs) . Strong understanding of HSE practices and LOTO procedures .Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic safety controls.Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment reliability. Experience
